Join the Library’s Special Collections Research Center for a talk with Dr. Peter Robertson! Along with special guest Daniel Curzon, Dr. Robertson will discuss authors he has known from the extraordinary Brengelman LGBTQ+ collection of books on queer history and culture. Thursday, March 16 at 2 p.m. Library 4th Floor South Side or via Zoom.

About Dr. Robertson

Dr. Peter Robertson (he/him/his) is the director of alumni connections with the Fresno State Alumni Association and an activist for LGBTQ+ rights for 35 years. He was a founding member of United Student Pride, a co-founder of the Fresno Reel Pride Film Festival, and named a grand marshal for the inaugural Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade. He also established the Bulldog Pride Fund, and started the Rainbow Alumnx and Allies Club.

About the Brengelman Collection

Dr. Frederick Henry Brengelman (1928-2019) was a professor of Linguistics at Fresno State for 50 years. In his personal life, Brengelman was an early pioneer and advocate for LGBTQ rights. He curated his own LGBTQ book collection over the years, which sere donated to the Special Collections Research Center posthumously by his family in 2019.
