The Fresno State Library is dedicated to providing quality library services to our community by continuously evaluating the demand for our spaces and services alongside our staffing and resources. Our online database services, materials requests, 24/7 librarian chat, and library lockers are available for students who need to consult with librarians or pick up reserved materials after hours.
UPDATED: Beginning on the university’s first day of instruction, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the library building will be open as follows:
Monday – Thursday 7:45 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday- 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday – Noon to 11 p.m.
“We are listening! Students have expressed their concerns about our reduction in hours and we want to be there for them. With the support of President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval and Provost Xuanning Fu, we will maintain our 11 p.m. closing times Sundays through Thursdays for the time being. We know students count on the library to provide safe, comfortable spaces in the late evening hours, so we will continue to monitor how students use the Library to support their ongoing success. We hope to see you all in the Library often this fall.”
