Oculus Quest 3S virtual reality headsets

The Music & Media department in the Fresno State Library has received some exciting upgrades to better support learning, creativity, and exploration on campus. For the first time, Oculus Quest 3S virtual reality headsets are available for check-out for a full seven days, bringing immersive XR/VR/AR experiences beyond the library walls.

Other new additions include two types of high-quality headphones available for same-day checkout: noise-canceling models and podcasting/DJ headphones with attached mics for working on audio production or music editing. The Music Lab has also been upgraded and relocated to Room 3119, featuring four Mac music stations equipped with Korg MIDI keyboards, professional-grade audio interfaces, and music software like Logic Pro X, GarageBand, DoricoPro, and Sibelius.

Gordy McPhoney (a small gourd with googly eyes and a set of headphones on his "ears") sits atop a new keyboard.

And for those in need of high-powered workstations fro graphic design or video editing, Music & Media now offers two brand-new Mac editing stations loaded with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Maya, and more—ideal for anyone who prefers working on a Mac rather than a PC.

All of these resources are free to use for current Fresno State students. Faculty and staff may request the use of this equipment on a case-by-case basis.
