The Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature presents “Banned! Books Under Fire,” an exhibition on book banning and challenges in libraries across the United States. Students can engage with materials that have been challenged in the past and are the most often challenged today. Presented in context with data from the American Library Association, students and patrons can consider issues surrounding our freedom to read, hold considered discussions on challenged materials, and make more informed choices regarding their own reading choices in the future.

The exhibition is open during regular library hours from September 19 through October 14, 2022 in the Pete P. Peters Balcony Gallery on the 3rd Floor of the Library.
